Tapanco Steak House
For a taste of Mexico in a beautiful setting, we recommend Tapanco Steak House, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Located a short 10-minute drive up the coast from Las Gaviotas.
Head North from Las Gaviotas on the Free Road (Carratera Libre). 6.3 miles or a 10-minute drive will get you to Tapanco Steak House.
Review:
We shared an incredible meal at Tapanco Steak House. Venison machaca appetizer followed by grilled fish (dorado) and rice/beans, and I was able to snag a couple of shrimp from my wife's dinner plate as well. It was one of the best meals of our life! The wine was very tasty, and the predinner salad and soup were tremendous as well. There wasn't a single facet of our meal that disappointed! We will go back every time we visit Rosarito.

If you love seafood, check out our Blog on Seafood by the Pool at Las Gaviotas. We recommend the Ceviche. The fish tacos are also delicious. Enjoy them by the pool overlooking the ocean or back at your vacation rental.
Also, consider Puerto Nuevo for lobster. Head south from Las Gaviotas about 1 mile where you will find multiple restaurants specializing in lobster meals.
Tacos by the Pool at Las Gaviotas is also a favorite. Make sure you include a margarita or pina colada with your meal.
