Horseback Riding
Spend an afternoon going horseback riding through valleys and along the oceanfront just a short drive south of Las Gaviotas. We recommend doing so through Horses by Jose (www.horsesbyjose.com).
Your ride will begin at their ranch, go on a slow walk along scenic estuary trails, a river, and then along the beach at Playa La Mision, one of the most beautiful stretches of beach that Northern Baja California has to offer!
No previous horseback riding experience is needed. They will help you from start to finish.
They accept payment through their website or by cash when you arrive. US Dollars or Pesos are accepted.

“I went horseback riding with my husband and daughter and can't recommend Horses by Jose enough! We are all new to horseback riding so, at first we were a little nervous. It took less than 2 seconds after meeting Jose, Erin and the horses to feel comfortable and that we were in expert hands.
On the ride, we were accompanied by Jose and his son, 1 in front and 1 in back so they could watch us and the horses closely to make sure all was ok. The ride took us through breathtaking views of the mountains and then a ride on the beach. Jose and Erin are gracious hosts who know and love the area. This made for a memorable, fun experience !”
